Blog EntryTuyo and Rice with Coffee for LunchJun 5, '08 1:57 AM
for everyone

It's a cloudy day today... it actually rained in the morning... a little bit windy...

My son is sick for the past three days and the doctor required us to go back everyday as he wanted close monitoring of LeRuof. Going to the doctor (just a short walking distance from or place), carrying LeRuof around the house when he feels soooo sick, the sleep-deprived me is quite exhausted to cook. Last night, my husband and I had to settle for noodles for dinner.

What's for lunch today? I opened the refrigerator and found the tuyo my parents brought from Iloilo. That had been my request from my brother whe he asked what I wanted from Iloilo. Perfect. The cold weather... the hot coffee... tuyo and rice... eating with bare hands... oh, what a bliss...

it was just like eating breakfast back in the Philppines!

My husband will gladly join you and Manuel for breakfast. Tuyo and dried fish is our bone of contention: he loves them; I don't.

Why what's wrong with LeRouf? I hope its nothing. I will pray for him when is his birthday? And when is yours and your husband?
If it's just like colds or runny nose try vaporizers.
Maybe you've been eating a lot of fastfoods. Minsan kasi the children needs a lot of home cooked meals like sinigang.
Assuming lang you don't cook sinigang, ill walk you through it. Unsolicited advice. But my sinigang is unique.
1. Prepare your ingredients. Instead of port liempo with taba, use spare ribs.
2. Pakuluan, boil until lumambot that you can prick with a fork.
3. Tapon mo water na pinagkuluan kasi there is where the taba is.
4. Place everything. Kangkong if you have, alternative, is string beans, tomatoes slice into two's and the new water, of course.(para maganda effect, ung water na pinaglinis mo ng rice. Don't throw that, ihalo mo sa sinigang mo-maputi siya)
5. Tapos na, add sinigang mix. or if you want no preservatives, kamias lang ok na. If wala, asin lang ok na rin.
What's important laging may sabaw dapat si Le Rouf? Huwag kang tamarin magluto home cooked vegetables everyday. Sanayin mo taste buds ni Le Rouf
Sensya na ninerbios kasi ako. Magisa ka lang diyan. Be strong. Pray everyday.

tuyo or sulig dried fish (accompanied with coconut suka, salt and kamatis), fried eggs and sinangag (left-over boiled rice fried with salt and garlic) will remain my all-time favorite...

you should try tuyo and other dried fish from Iloilo, most especially from a town called Estancia. they're the most fresh you could ever find...

is this you, Luis, using your son's multiply? thanks for the concern but don't worry too much. of course, i understand why you're so worried. i try to cook as often as i can for LeRuof. i try to have vegetables as often as i can, too.
pero, really, LeRuof loves to eat french fries. hehehe. Don't worry, he caught a cold and developed mild bronchitis. he's still active and exhausting our energy when he feels good. hopefully, everything will be cleared by the doctor on our visit tomorrow.
